Dwayne and I love the Hybrid Mack! He’s such a sensitive boy and he likes his creature comforts, but he runs warm in the rain sheet, so this is absolutely perfect for our warmer spring weather here in WA. As always, another quality, high performing LE product, that I would highly recommend. I love the fabric on this one, and I especially like the fleece lining along the top of the back on the underside, it’s perfect to keep the chill off on those patchy rainy days.
Love the Hybrid Mack. It’s the ideal rug for our warm winter yet having rainy days. And especially for my mare who runs warm the mesh sides help to keep her cool on the warm days whilst the fleece under the water proofing keeps her warm. I think she likes it too as the rainsheet can be a little warm during the daytime. It’s a little snugger fitting than the rainsheet as she has a big chest/ neck but the Boxter pleat allows her shoulders room to move so overall am very happy with it. And it’s lasted 2 weeks without any tears. ☺️. She must like it. Thanks LE. A great rug for autumn winter and spring. Very versatile. My friend saw it and bought one this week as well for her chunky mare. :)
Love this rug. Its been on my wish list since last winter so I was excited to finally be ordering one. Fits beautifully and its nice and light in weight. It doesn’t get overly cold were i am but i need something to keep sandflies off and be water proof as we get heaps of heavy fog most nights. Added bonus of not having leg straps as she hates them. I will be buying another one when i can for my gelding.

This would have to be one of my most favorite rugs ever. Such a staple rug for Spring, Autumn and those cold summers nights. My boy runs hot and with this rug I can be sure he will stay warm and dry where it’s important and not overheat. Great fit, doesn't move. Was concerned about mane lining but no issues, no rubbing. Thank you, now need to save up for a LE winter rug!

Really light and comfortable, perfect for those Spring days when showers are forecast. I only wish the chest closures were adjustable as the length is perfect for a 5’9 rug, but I feel the chest is a little too snug.
LOVE LOVE LOVE this rug. A superb quality and great mid season rug. My young horse runs hot and this rug gives me added assurance that he is warm where necessary, dry where necessary but also cool and comfortable. I would HIGHLY recommend this rug. We will be adding more of these to our Leader collection as a “staple” mid season rug.
Very happy with this rug. Great for those autumn days where it rains, but it’s not particularly cold. Love the detachable neck and the cool hessian bag

Love everything about this rug! The absolute best in between season rug. True to size fit and I love the paddock safe front closure, soft fleece lined waterproof upper with mesh sides to stop any over heating. Love the colours too!

My mare runs hot & had her first clip for the season. This is a perfect rug for mild days & predicted showers. Sgd had a good toll & ran around, the rug was fine. It’s also super light weight on withers & backs.
Sadly my horse passed away before rug’s arrival but the feel and quality of fabric is great also very well made can’t wait to use them one day great product

It’s perfect for our WA weather, just enough to protect the back of our horses in the winter nights while not boiling them in when the day warms up and I am not there to remove the rugs.
When we have to use a rug, then I love this rug because it is so light! I hate how some rugs are really heavy, especially when wet...this can really affect aged horses and ponies as well as creating a situation where any horse, however fit, is having to carry something heavy around all day. I also love the air ventilation, allowing the horses and ponies who either run hot, or find temperature regulation difficult, to stay cool. Great work LE team!
Awesome rug great for Queensland coming into winter as it can still be warm but evenings showery and quite cool. My only problem is the neck rug on my Percheron X is too short so it sucks back and is sort of too tight close to the chest fixings so I mostly use it without the neck part but still a great rug.

This is the perfect rug for in-between seasons. I can go to work and know he's not too hot, but he's protected from pesky showers (and actually, quite heavy rain too). I love the fit, it's perfect.

Was stoked to try this as a cheaper alternative to the HW version. After reading reviews saying it was true to size, I stuck with 6ft knowing that I don't have to size up like I do for HW rugs. I was disappointed to find it was pretty snug across the chest and over the wither, and the darts over her bum made it a narrow fit. The wipe clean tail cord was shorter than HW one, but I have swapped them so it's not exaggerating the snug fit and will make do. Thankfully the stretchy material redeems the fit (not sure if this was the intention) but would suggest sizing up. Given the snug fit, I'm conscious how warm they might get as this was designed for warmer, but wet conditions. I would have liked a looser fit for this reason, though it did feel well made and the material felt high quality, so time will tell.

Store owner replied: Hi Taylor, I'm sorry to hear the size didn't work for you. We typically say to use the same size in Horseware if you have previously used Horseware. We don't tell people to size up as a blanket rule because it comes down to the build of your horse and what they measure as and how that translates to our size guide on the website. Other customers have definitely told us they have just used their standard size and it has been great, and plenty have done as we suggested and that has worked super. The Hybrid Mack is really quite different to the Rambo Summer Series. I love the fleece backing because in a big rain event my horses don't get cold backs, however, if it's to rain in 35 degrees where you don't get a temperature change, then the Rambo Summer Series is absolutely perfect :) I have presumed you've continued to use it so perhaps it's unable to be returned for exchange, so if that's the case, please do send us an email when you've used it for a while as it would be great to hear how it goes and if we can help you with future rug choices :)
Love that the waterproof section is fleeced lined so keeps my horses back warm yet with the vented mesh sides suitable for warmer days 💓 It’s saving me so much time with not as many rug changes as we transition seasons!

Great rug
This has been my go to for the last few months. Ideal for the Irish climate. My mare is hairy and can overheat easily, she also takes ages to dry. Her back is always warm and the airated side panels stop overheating. The front closure system is excellent.
Love the quality of materials from first impression. I am just disappointed with the comfort of buckles against the horses chest when their head is down eating. The bib is super thin and if you slide your hand flat behind the bib, those buckles really dig in which would be super uncomfortable for the horse. If the bib had some quality padding it would be a pretty perfect rug and then worth the price tag imo.

Store owner replied: Hi Joanne, we replied to your FB message but wanted to follow up here - this doesn't sound right and there is either a sizing issue (too big or too small) or a style issue in that the rug style just doesn't suit your horse's build. It is meant to sit so there is plenty of room at the chest and under the neck. Would absolutely love if you could send us an email with some photos of the rug on your horse showing all straps done up, full side view nose to tail, front on and from behind. Some info about rug brands and sizes your horse has worn previously and some info on their breed/build/height would be super helpful. We would like to get your horse into something that works for them :)

This rug fit really well and kept my mare protected in the changeable weather had during autumn and start of winter. This is really important to me as she is agisted and I only get the chance to go once a day (evenings) to feed and check her.

Runs a bit large-horse usually wears a 6’9-7’ and had to wear a 6’6 in this rug! However it’s an AMAZING rug, keeps them warm and dry when it’s cold and wet and doesn’t get too hot like a rainsheet and cotton
ive just bought this and put it on him today great fit 6.ft my i only complaint is there was no tail strap at the back of it had to spoil the look by using hay binding until i get a proper strap
