With the new Fieldsafe Summer Relief Rug, we are aiming for maximum coverage to protect from midges, mosquitoes and other biting insects.  The earlier you get your horse protected from bites, the less chances of an itch-reaction for the season.

An All-in-One design with attached hood and a unique belly flap, with 180gsm cotton blend fabric, and ensuring comfort and fit where it matters. This rug is not intended for horses who will scratch heavily. It's to help prevent getting to that stage.

The hood has a detachable nose piece, not intended for 100% coverage but some extra protection on the lower part of the face. We don't recommend using a flymask over the top of the hood as it's too much fabric on their faces. You will know your horse best and it will depend on the temperatures on the day.

The hood can be cut off if you choose to because of the unique construction, the neck rug part will remain perfectly functional.

The Belly Flap on the Summer Relief Rug provides extra protection from bugs. This belly flap closes with velcro which has a small amount of adjustment in it, the flap itself has some stretchiness in it. This is to accommodate bigger bellies but not have it too big and unsafe on smaller bellies - please check your fit. Surcingles should be crossed and a hands width from belly itself.

Our Fieldsafe Front comprises of a satin bib in front of chest for comfort, with lightweight T-Bar closures for security and Velcro sandwich on top to prevent clips catching on haynets etc. 

Boxter Dart for freedom of movement and generous tail flap, plus reflective strips for easy location in dark conditions.

Close all velcro straps and clips. Wash in a suitable laundry bag. Wash at maximum 30 degrees on a delicate or cotton cycle with a mild detergent. Do not tumble dry. Line dry in the shade. Store loosely folded in a dark, dry area.
