This is my third boxter rug (I have 200g and 0g turnouts) they fit so well and this one is no exception. I bought it when it was on offer, purely because it was a bargain and I love the two turnouts I have so much that it was worth the price even for minimal use (my girl is hardly ever stabled). However, I have ended up using it all the time as it is brilliant as an extra layer under the turnouts, instead or as well as the liners. Even layered up like that I have never had them slip back or shift at all, and she will roll and lay down. It’s tough enough for paddock use, so on a dry, chilly days at the moment I often take off the top rug and leave this one on. It’s so light and comfortable I don’t worry so much about it being too cold for naked time. Fit wise it is the same size as the turnouts, plenty of room under the neck and around the withers even when she has her head down. I have struggled to find any other rug that fits her so well in this area (deep set neck and high withers). I have to size up in horseware rugs and was advised by the team to do the same with the boxters, so my girl is 6’ but wears a 6’3” in LE. Most importantly, I know that these rugs must be comfortable, because she has stopped being grumpy at having her rugs put on. This has always been a problem for her and had me searching for ulcers/pain etc. So for me these are the holy grail of rugs!
