Fantastic rug! It's a high quality design that allows a lot of room for my mares shoulders and the front clips are hidden by Velcro behind and in front so there is no chance of them catching on anything or rubbing on her chest. It's very secure with the 3 belly straps, I've seen her roll several times in it and it doesn't shift at all. It rains a lot where I am and she has stayed completely dry every time! I can already tell this rug is going to last for years, I highly recommend it!
First thing - brilliant packaging! And just love the ‘keeper’ jute drawstring bag is a game changer! No more worrying about storing rugs if damp. UNBELIEVABLE FIT !! This rug is without a doubt, the very best fitting rug set. After 30ml of rain it had not moved a mm and pony was warm and dry underneath.
I'm very happy with this rug. I now have all 3 of my horses in this rug style. I find the rugs versatile and convenient and I can add a liner for extra warmth, if needed. The neck rug is easy to attach and remove. Highly recommend!

Disappointed. Invested in this rug brand new and had it for 2 months - already ripped. Poor quality material considering the price tag and not fit for everyday wear. (my horse is 22 and NOT a rug wrecker- her previous winter rug of 7 years is still intact the fill is just no good) she is paddocked alone in a very safe electrified paddock... Not happy with this product.

We fully appreciate how frustrating it is when something goes wrong with a recent purchase. We would far prefer to find a manufacturing fault because we can so easily rectify that for the horse and owner, rather than having to have the uncomfortable discussion around accidental damage. As horse owners ourselves, for several decades, we are well versed in the random things that can occur, seemingly out of nowhere and often when we've done every thing we could possibly do right. Rugs can last for years and years, and rugs can have something happen to them within a day, a month, a year and it is not the result of the fabric breaking down, but because of another horse reaching over, something else that has become available to cause the damage, and the same scenario may never happen again. We can hand on heart stand behind the choice of fabrics, the outer is durable, is breathable and is definitely at the top of the market for waterproof coating used, but we are always happy to examine it in person to make absolutely sure we are doing the right thing by you and your horse. Hopefully we can assist you in the future, and of course the various options we outlined still stand.
Love this rug! It fits beautifully and the removable neck is easy to put on and take off. Great value!
Love the fit of this rug. I have a tricky-to-fit QH Gelding who is in between 6’3 and 6’6. I went a 6’6 as he is broad in the chest, but I think he would be fine in either. After struggling with other brands for waterproofness, I was skeptical, however not a drop on my boy! I love the long drop to help keep clipped legs covered. The liner system works great - I only have a cotton on underneath in the photo as he was off to a show. He is snuggly warm, and no rubbed shoulders - a first for us! I have definitely found my new rug brand. I won’t buy anything else from now on. I will be recommending to everyone - they’re well worth the price!

We really love this rug. The generous length in the neck keeps him extra toasty and dry, while the large gussets and three belly straps allow for comfort during his daily naps and zoomies without it slipping or needing readjusting.
Great rugs
Perfect fit for my wide, tall horses. On colder nights I throw a liner on underneath. Rugs have never leaked, up to my third season with all my leader equine rugs, only rugs I will buy for my heavy horses
My favourite rug ever! Doesn’t move at all keeps her toasty and the shoulder gussets are incredible for no rubs. Not to mention how waterproof it’s been while we’ve had torrential rain. Thanks :)
I love this rug. Had to go up a size from 6'0" to 6'3", but it sits beautifully and no rubbing. Took a few days to get the hang of doing up the front of the rug, but easy now. Also bought the 'T-shirt' liner which goes underneath and is excellent.
Absolutely love this seasons’ new rug. I really like the adjustable tail cord this year and as always, the field safe enclosures are a nice, easy fit. My boy loves his creature comforts. We were down to a chilly, end of Autumn -2.2 overnight ❄️ ❄️, and when I went out to check him this morning he was toasty warm and happy in his 100g rug. He loves his LE rugs as much as I do. Thanks for another quality product 😊.
We are in Dorrigo and I’ve just taken on an underweight OTTB and wanted a rug that wasn’t crazy heavy but would keep him dry so that he wasn’t just shivering all of his meals off, this is perfect it keeps him at an excellent temperature and he is beautiful and shiny after removal with no rubbing or static which is a win! Will be buying more for the rest of my group who are a bit older and could use some reprieve from the winter rains.
Happy with it so far! Bought for my big warmblood mare who was previously in a 6'9 amigo that was slightly too small. I went up to the 7'0 in the boxster with the intent that she could fill it out a bit and I'm happy with the size. Looking forward to ordering a cotton liner to keep it clean. Very thankful for the prompt response from the Leader Equine team who answered my questions about sizing within 30 mins on a friday afternoon! And best of all - the colour is very cute!

The rug looks and feels like great quality. The chest straps are fiddly and don't offer for any adjustment. I was disappointed with how it fitted around the neck & shoulders despite it being the correct size length wise. LE were helpful in answering my questions about the fit issues and offered for me to return the rug.
Always pleased with items from Leader Equine! This is a lovely roomy rug. My horse is usually a 6’ and I got the same size in this rug but it was a tad short. The Rambo fly rug which I got at 6’ fit perfectly tho! I changed the 40cm tail cord to 30cm and it’s helped to cover his hind end.
Love these rugs, this ones still in the bag due to him being in the thicker weight at the moment. They are a great fit and don’t move or become unbalanced like other brands
Brilliant covers. A little nervous spending this much on a cover but absolutely delivered. Fits great, doesn't move at all and not tight around neck. Love the adaptability of the 100g plus liner and detachable neck. Honestly best cover I've had in ages. The front clips take a little while to get used too. Will be buying more!

I absolutely love the ease of putting the neck rug on. For me this is the best thing on the rug. It is true to size and probably does not need to go up a size like you do with Horseware rugs. The only thing I am not sold on is those annoying little clips at the front. But the way it Velcros shut so that there is no clip showing is brilliant. They are roomie and they are a little bit longer than my normal rhino rug which is a positive. I will be buying another one soon. I run a horse rescue and I have all sizes come through my doors so eventually I will get one of each 😂
Nice rug ,waterproof, Lightweight 100g, neck rug is easy on and easy off. Looks good and the reflectors stand out in the dark easy to spot with a touch. The rug stayed straight after rolling and plenty of room in the front for running around in. Very Happy with the choice and is the better out of previous ones have owned , fits well . The people from Leader Equine nice to deal with.

Bought this for my arab stallion, he cannot have heavier fill. And it fitted beautifully around his chest. Stayed snug and dry during the past non stop rain for the last 24 hours.

Great fitting rug. Love the room in the chest area there is no pull or pressure there or the wither area. Only drawback are the fiddly chest clips replace with snap clips and I will buy again.
Store owner replied: Hi Diana, we won't replace the front closure for some very good reasons so hear us out; our front closure is called the Field Safe Front and is design protected. It uses a bib so no clips sit against the chest but the fabric remains lightweight and comfortable, the T-Bar clips are very secure and lie flat so we don't create pressure points, the front velcro sandwich keeps everything protected from fencing and haynets so is secure. The combination of this shape of front with the Boxter Dart makes a very comfortable front end for horses to wear. It takes pressure off when they graze, and through the shoulder. Now, to make it less fiddly - when you go to open the rug, open the front vlecro and then the back bib, only then do the clips as it's easier, and when closing the rug, close the clips first, then sweep your hand behind to close the bib and then do the front velcro. And if your horse is putting his head down just stick your shoulder under his neck. Many thanks.

i really dislike the front clips, they are so fiddley . I would not buy a rug with these clips again. And the neck gaps on both sides. She has always been in an Amigo with not problem. And the binding on the tail flap come away on the first day!

With regard to the front closure, we made it this way because we believe in having an option in the rug range we carry at LE that is super safe and secure in front (since we cannot always predict what our horses will do) and also is lightweight and comfortable for the horses. The fronts will feel a little fiddly to begin with but will soften up, always open the bib behind the clips first, and the front velcro sandwich, then you have more room to open the clips, and do the reverse when closing it, clips first, then bib behind and velcro sandwich.
