Really wet today so I treated my pony to an upgrade of his rainsheet. It hasn’t moved on him and despite him being chunky it provides good freedom of movement. It’s light but he’s totally snug in it.

I now have two of these rugs. I love them. They fit really well. I like the tail flap and just the overall fit of the whole rug. I highly recommend this rug. These photos don’t show the true colour of the rug. A beautiful lilac colour with the green trim. Looks really nice.

Great fit and so versatile with the liners. I have these for both horses in most thicknesses. Also it is the prettiest of colours. The field safe front gives you peace of mind when feeding with haynets.

I loved this rug so much I have bought another as soon as I could, the 200g boxter turnout this time along with the cotton liner. The most important thing for me was fit- my girl has a high wither and low set neck and I struggle to find a rug that doesn’t strangle her when she puts her head down. This rug is so roomy around the front, but it doesn’t slip back one bit, so even with the horseware liner inside it doesn’t pull on her. It’s also nice and light despite being sturdy. We have had so much wet weather and she has stayed completely dry. She has also worn it on a very wet but warmer day with the 3d liner underneath and not got hot at all.
Fantastic rug. Super waterproof. The shoulder gussets are actually at the right place - suits my broad-shouldered gypsy cob really well. So far has stood up to his paddock antics and doesn't slip around either.
Absolute lifesaver. My ottb Indy was a real struggle to keep warm and dry in wet weather. He loves playing and rolling in the mud and every other rug I've purchased for him gets muddy and waterlogged and drags over, causing the legstraps to give him a painful wedgie. This rug fits beautifully and stays put; it really is self-righting, plus the fabric actually seems to repel the mud. I was super concerned about using a fillet string rather than leg straps, but it's been absolutely perfect for him. Looking forward to expanding his Leader Equine wardrobe and getting some Leader rugs for my mares also.

I love these rugs … nearly a year old now and just brought them in from cyclone conditions here in NZ … heavy rain and 130km/h wind … all 3 horses bone dry and rugs stayed securely in place ! Very impressive

Fits amazing with heaps of shoulder clearance and doesn’t pull back on the wither. Holds out very well in heavy rain. Couldn’t be happier with purchase!!

Such a great fitting rug! This is my first time purchasing one of these and the quality and fit of this rug was so impressive, I’ve just gone and brought the 200g version as well! Heavy downpours all night and Charlie is still dry and happy - not a heavy sopping soaked rug in sight.

Absolutely LOVE this rug. My young horse runs hot and this rug keeps him warm on those days that are windy and raining but still over 10 degrees. Fits like it was custom made for him and I love that it moves with him and always stays in place. A definite MUST buy for those considering a quality rug that’s totally waterproof and windproof but light. Thank you again Leader Equine.

Absolutely LOVE this rug, I wish I bought one earlier! I absolutely love all the features, ergonomic design and the fit is perfect. The tail flap is very generous, the shoulder gusset is large, the neck length is long and generous, and there is good size to allow for movement and hoods to sit well underneath without bulking. 15/10 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Was concerned as I am used to using combo’s with leg straps - well I am converted!! Absolutely love the fit and the neck rug velcros! The rug hasn’t moved after several days without being taken off. Just about to buy another for the second horse!
Another LE rug to add to the collection!! All my horses are rugged by LE and they have never looked/been so comfortable until now. They fit from my slim built 16.3hh TB to my 18.3 broad Warmblood! 110% recommend.

As it isn’t cold but light showers horse just has the rug only on. Waterproof & great fit. True to size. Horse is 16.2 but compact & fits a 6’3” rug.
This is the perfect light weight summer rain sheet where the horses won’t get too hot during the intense Australian summer storms while keeping them nice and dry. Could not recommend enough, they are so durable and have never had a broken LE rug. I have some very happy ponies now 🥰
Love this rug, I have been converted from Amigo Bravo rugs to Leader rugs. The fit is great for horses with big shoulders and broader chested warmbloods. I will definitely purchase others ! Horse in the picture is 17'3hh Thoroughbred. Generally 6'9 to 7' ft rug size, The rug in the photo is 7'. Could have gone 6'9 but opted for the extra room.

Wow! What great rugs - I am really impressed with the fit of them. They fit my boys perfectly. Leader Equine also were really helpful with sizing advice and I am so glad I went with the sizes I did. A 5’6 for the pony and a 6’3 for the big horse. I also really like the safety of the front fastenings and I am really happy with how they fit - especially around the chest and the bum coverage! Other brands my ponies bum would hang out but the cut of this rug means he can take his usual size and he is nice and protected. ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I look forward to purchasing more rugs from Leader Equine.

Fits my big 18.3 warmblood amazing. Weatherbeeta rugs and horseware ones always have his poor bum out but this rug fits like it was made for him! So happy

Since the release of the boxter rug I’ve been waiting for this one to be added to the collection and it’s been worth the wait! I love everything about it and so happy to finally have a waterproof rug that fits my horse perfectly without slipping or rubbing!
The rug is nice, especially the light colour which will reflect the sun on a sunny cold day, The chest I find a bit fiddly with this 0g rug. It’s just sort of an internal flap that feels a bit complicated.
This is the second LE turnout that I have purchased the first was the LE 50g and its in it’s second season and I love it! The rugs fit, they are water proof! even after days of rain and mud, they do not roll over to one side. I purchased the 0g for the warmer rainy season.
The fit is fantastic and it's the perfect turnout for my fluffy Percheron cross mare - keeps her warm and dry without her overheating. The colour is awesome too!
The rug is a great fit, the only thing I really dislike is the front closures. The buckles are very awkward to get done up, it’s really hard on the muscles in your hands.
Store owner replied: Hi Christine, love to hear you find the rug a good fit. I have some tips for the front closure. When you go to open the rug, open the front velcro and then the back bib, only then do the clips as it's easier, and when closing the rug, close the clips first, then sweep your hand behind to close the bib and then do the front velcro. And if your horse is putting his head down just stick your shoulder under his neck. There are some very good reasons for our front closure, which is called the Field Safe Front and is design protected. It uses the bib so no clips sit against the chest but the fabric remains lightweight and comfortable, the T-Bar clips are very secure and lie flat so we don't create pressure points, the front velcro sandwich keeps everything protected from fencing and haynets so is secure. The combination of this shape of front with the Boxter Dart makes a very comfortable front end of rug for horses to wear. It takes pressure off when they graze, and through the shoulder. Hope this helps :)
